Residents of Sedgefield, Dilworth and SouthEnd, rejoice! Park Road Shopping Center is getting an update!
Park Road Shopping Center, which originally opened in the 1950s and has been a Charlotte mainstay since, is owned by Edens, a Columbia, SC-based shopping center developer. The plans are part of a $15 million update.
Plans include the relocation of Cantina 1511’s East Blvd location, as well as adding seafood eatery Rock Salt, makeup bar La La Girl and Va da Vie, which will offer hand-made gelato.
Cantina 1511’s relocation will allow more parking and seating for patrons, as well as an expanded patio. Rock Salt will meld the oyster bar concept with the idea of farm-to-table ingredients from small farmers in the Charlotte area. The eatery also will feature a large outdoor patio, wood-fired grill and serve local craft beers. Vie da Vie will offer 10 scratch-made flavors to be offered daily, made from a mix of Italian imported ingredients as well as locally-sourced seasonal ingredients. La La Girl will offer full-face makeup application from a professional makeup artist, eyelash extensions, brow tinting and airbrush tanning, as well as a full line of products.
In addition to the new tenants, Omega Sports will also relocate to the space formerly occupied by Rack Room Shoes. Piedmont Music Center and Park Road Quick Cleaners will close. Anchor tenants Harris Teeter, BlackHawk Hardware and Michael’s, as well as the movie theatre, will remain in place.
There are some great neighborhoods and fantastic values on homes within walking distance of Park Road Shopping Center. Want to be close to these new additions to the Charlotte landscape? Give me a call and we’ll take a look at the area listings together!
