About Myers Park
Developed in the early 1900s, Myers Park lies just blocks from Uptown Charlotte. The area is bounded by Queens Road on the north; Providence Road on the east; Sharon Road on the south; and Colony Road, East Woodlawn Road, and South Kings Drive on the west.
Myers Park neighborhood is known as one of the city’s most prestigious, affluent and reputable. This is an area of stately, distinguished homes, beautiful tree-lined streets and some of the most beautiful churches in Charlotte.
At one time, the area was home to some of the city’s most prominent society members – from politicians to real estate developers. Today, in addition to its still-prominent residents, it is home to Freedom Park (one of Charlotte’s largest and prettiest parks), Duke Mansion and Queens University.
