Even though we hope we’ll never need it, we all hope that good medical care is nearby. This is especially true when children are involved. For Charlotte-area residents, there’s good news – one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals is right here.
Levine Children’s Hospital was ranked among the nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals by US News & World Report. The Charlotte hospital was recognized for nephrology, cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, gastroenterology and GI surgery and orthopedics.
This is the fifth consecutive year the hospital has been ranked, and it’s the third consecutive year the hospital has received multiple rankings. Levine is the only pediatric hospital in the Charlotte region to be recognized in the magazine’s 2014-15 rankings.
Levine Children’s Hospital is on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center, located in the heart of Dilworth. As a streetcar community started in the 1890s, Dilworth has some history as evidenced by the grand oaks that line many of the streets. These lovely trees lend a peaceful feeling to the area, though you’re rarely out of walking distance from a great coffee shop, lovely boutique or amazing restaurant.
