Get Hungry! Restaurants in Charlotte Coming Soon
December 15, 2016 Cassee Cunningham

charlotte realtor cassie cunninghamThe restaurant scene in Charlotte seems to be ever-expanding. Here’s a run-down of restaurants in Charlotte that are coming soon or recently opened:

In uptown, popular sandwich chain Potbelly will be opening on Tryon St in mid-January. Local favorites JJ’s Red Hots and Rhino Deli will also be opening new locations beside each other in Third Ward in spring/summer 2017. Rumor has it that Toast will also be opening a spot uptown.

If SouthEnd is you go-to ‘hood, there’s a new Korean spot called Bulgogi Box opening in the Camden Gallery Apartments building in spring 2017.  Also in early 2017, a new sushi/sake bar called Yamazaru will be opening by Sycamore Brewing.

NoDa’s no slouch when it comes to new spots, either. Haberdish, the Southern-inspired spot just doors down from its sister restaurants Crepe Cellar and Growler’s Pourhouse, opened last week to rave reviews.  And PopBar, the worldwide gelato-on-a-stick chain, should be opening it’s North Davidson St location about the time this post is published.

Fans of Dilworth Billiards can rejoice…and so can the rest of us. Dilworth Tasting Room, a wine bar and retail bottle shop from sommelier Jaffer Kovic, is opening in that spot soon. And by soon, I mean as early as Christmas 2016, but maybe in early January.

Local favorites are expanding all over the place, too! YaFo will be opening 2nd location, probably in Plaza Midwood, but possibly in SouthEnd. Sabor will open it 6th location soon in the SouthPark area. Inizio will expand to Dilworth in April. Amelie’s and Midwood Smokehouse are coming to Park Road Shopping Center come April and late 2016/early 2017 respectively.

As you can see, there’s a lot coming up when it comes to restaurants in Charlotte, so get your elastic-waisted pants out and let’s start digging in!
