We’re just over a week away from the end of 2016. If you’ll be spending New Year’s Eve in Charlotte, here are some ideas on how and where to ring in the New Year.
Uptown Charlotte has a dearth of New Year’s Eve parties to take your pick from.
The Roxbury in 4th Ward is bringing back its Back to the Future Bash featuring 80s and 90s music, four bars, multiple dance floors, a heated patio, drink specials, and a champagne toast at midnight.
In the Epicentre, you can hang at Rooftop 210’s New Year’s Eve Under the Stars. Tickets include DJ’d music, a food buffet and passed appetizers. Whisky River is also holding a Royal Ball to ring in 2017.
If you want to see a lot of the Uptown area, then Rich & Bennett’s bar crawl is for you! Plus, your ticket includes tickets to their St Patrick’s Day and Halloween pub crawls!
As always, there’s the “official” New Year’s Eve party for Charlotte – CLT New Year’s Eve Presented by Ally. This year, the party is presented by Ally, and it’s all going down at Romare Bearden Park in Fourth Ward. This free family-friendly event begins at 8pm and includes fireworks and the annual “crown drop” at midnight.
If SouthEnd and/or breweries are more your speed, Sycamore Brewing is holding its annual Brew Year’s Eve, and Lenny Boy is holding a Len-NYE-ve Dance Party.
Also in SouthEnd, but not a brewery: Amos’ will be hosting its final New Year’s Eve celebration. You can help send them out with a bang! Or there’s also Carnavale at SouthEnd Station.
Heading to NoDa? Don’t forget to stop by Abari’s New Year’s Eve Pinball Bash!
If restaurants are your scene: Angry Ale’s on Montford is offering a House Party to ring in the new year. And Leroy Fox in Cotswold has a four-course dinner for $70, including champagne.
No matter where you choose to ring in the new year, have fun and be safe! I wish you a healthy and happy 2017!
