If you’re looking to buy a home in Charlotte, don’t wait! According to new reports, home prices are on the rise, a trend that started in 2015.
Last month, the latest S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index was released. And according to the report, home prices in the Charlotte metro area rose 6% in October over the previous year.
Once again, that puts the Charlotte area ahead of the national rate of increase, which was shown at 5.6% last month.
September’s annual increase for the Charlotte area was 6.2%, so October showed only a very slight decline from that.
The Queen City tied with Atlanta at #8 in the country’s 20 major metro areas in terms of October’s year-over-year change.
From #10 to #1, these are the top Charlotte-area zip codes that showed the most gains in property values, per the report:
- 28054 – Gastonia
- 28120 – Mt Holly
- 28212 – North Sharon Amity, Idlewild South, East Forest
- 28012 – city of Belmont
- 28032 – Cramerton
- 29710 – Clover, SC
- 28205 – Plaza Midwood, Oakhurst, Windsor Park, Country Club Heights, Plaza Shamrock, NoDa, Echo Hills
- 28208 – Wesley Heights and out toward the airport
- 28052 – Gastonia and Crowders Mountain area
- 28206 – NoDa
