Whether you’re a fitness newbie or working out is old hat and you’re looking for something new to add to your routine, you should definitely check out #CLTFreeWorkout!
#CLTFreeWorkout came about as a collaboration between OrthoCarolina and NoDa-based marketing and branding company #thesavageway. The bodyweight workouts were developed by Aaron Hewitt, a physician assistant at OrthoCarolina; #thesavageway is known for its clean graffiti campaigns.
Right now, the workouts can be found along 800-1,000-foot stretches of sidewalk in six neighborhoods: Dilworth, West Charlotte, Sedgefield, NoDa, Cherry and Wilmore. The workout is the same in each neighborhood and is comprised of eight moves. The full routine will take you through the workout five times, though you can modify as necessary.
As the name implies, these workouts are perfect for the financially impaired – there’s no equipment or membership needed. But as reported by The Charlotte Observer, it’s also a great way to get the family involved in being fit together. And as Charlotte Five mentioned, it’s a great way to add some strength training to your plain-old, run-of-the-mill run.
If you come across a #CLTFreeWorkout and decide to give it a try, shoot me a line and let me know what you think!
