We’re just over a week away from the 3rd Annual 100 Words Film Festival, and this year’s festival is lining up to be just as amazing as the others!
The premise of the 100 Words Film Festival is that it celebrates concise storytelling by professional and student filmmakers. The only requirement of the festival is that each film must use EXACTLY 100 spoken words. Every film here is a world premier, and every film is made for this festival. The films can be of any length, in any genre, on any subject, in any language, and by any level of filmmaker. According to the festival’s website, the mission of the festival is to screen outstanding short films, cultivate the arts, and democratize filmmaking.
Two “Meet the Filmmakers” film seminars are also part of the festival this year. Held at Spirit Square, the first will feature Deirdre Haj & Kristin McCracken on November 5th at 4pm. The second will feature Robin Canfield of Actuality Media on November 5th at 3pm.
The 2016 100 Words Film Festival will be held on November 4th and 5th at the McGlohon Theater in Fourth Ward. Tickets can be purchased and seats reserved by visiting the Tickets page on 100WordsFilmFestival.com.
