When baseball season opens on April 3rd, the Charlotte Knights will have a new feature at their Uptown Charlotte home!
According to Scotty Brown, the Knights’ general manager, BB&T Ballpark will feature a local craft beer garden called Crafts of the Queen City, located near section 102, near the right field line. The craft-beer space will have six taps, with six different Charlotte-area breweries providing one selection each. The breweries included are Olde Mecklenburg Brewery and NoDa Brewing Company (both of which sold beer at the ballpark last season), as well as Triple C Brewing Company, Birdsong Brewing Company, The Unknown Brewing Company and D9 Brewing Company out of Cornelius.
The Knights’ uptown Charlotte stadium is located at the intersections of Mint, Martin Luther King, Graham and 4th Street in Third Ward, across the street from Romare Bearden Park. In addition to being home to the Knights, BB&T Ballpark also hosts events such as concerts, festivals, corporate and community events.
