Ready or not, we’ll be ringing in 2015 tomorrow night. If you still don’t know where or how you’ll greet the new year, here are a few New Year’s Eve plans for you!
While University Place isn’t usually one of “my neighborhoods,” the Hilton Charlotte University Place throws a lavish party that’s become tradition in Charlotte. Ticket price includes a dinner buffet, entertainment from Charlotte-based band Hot Sauce, an open bar and a champagne toast at midnight. There’s also an overnight package including a room, breakfast and a much-appreciated late checkout.
The NC Music Factory is offering a party-hopping package for those looking for a little bit of everything. The package include a three-course dinner at Eight Sushi, a glass of champagne and entry to the Label Studio 54 party. Also at the NC Music Factory, parties will be held at Automatic, Osso, VBGB, and Texicali.
In Elizabeth, Visulite Theatre will host Simplified, a reggae and rock band from Charlotte, while The Double Door Inn will feature New Year’s Eve with Chuck Johnson & Charlyhorse and Gigi Dover & The Big Love.
No New Year’s Eve roundup would be complete without mentioning Uptown! Any of the plethora of bars and restaurants would be a great place to rock out 2104 and ring in 2015. You can also find the Westin Hotel’s New Year’s Eve Extravaganza in Uptown. There will be a salsa ballroom and Top 40 hits, and a cash bar. Or go for the VIP package that includes access to the hors d’oeuvre station and an open bar. Stay overnight and treat yourself to a spa package the next day to start your year off right. And the “official” New Year’s Eve party for Charlotte – CLT New Year’s Eve (formerly First Night) – is back to kick off 2015 with a new location! This year’s celebration will be held near the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Beginning at 7 p.m. at the intersection of Brevard Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Uptown, CLT New Year’s will feature multiple food trucks, street performers, live musical performances and more. And don’t miss the annual “crown drop” at midnight.
No matter where you choose to welcome 2015, have fun and be safe! See you on the flip side!
