Are You Spending Thanksgiving in Charlotte?

thanksgiving in charlotteThanksgiving has long been known as a holiday for surrounding ourselves with loved ones and filling our bellies with delicious food.  When the culinary arts aren’t your forte, though, that second part can prove difficult.  If that’s the case, here are some suggestions for where to go for Thanksgiving in Charlotte.

  • Harvest Moon Grille – Known for farm-to-table dining, Harvest Moon will be offering a family-style Thanksgiving Dinner, with seatings at 2pm and 4pm. The menu will include Oven Roasted Turkey, Cider-Brined and Smoked Ham, as well as traditional sides and desserts.  Pricing is $39.99 for adults and $19.99 for children.

  • Blue Restaurant – This sophisticated spot in Uptown Charlotte is offering Thanksgiving brunch, featuring live jazz and drink specials.

  • Capital Grille – Another Uptown favorite, Capital Grille will be serving their take on Thanksgiving favorites.  Pricing is $36 per adult and $15 per child.

  • Chima Brazilian Steakhouse – Chima will be open special hours for Thanksgiving – 2pm to 8pm.  They will be serving their complete rodizio menu plus Thanksgiving favorites!

  • New South Kitchen and Bar – New South Kitchen & Bar, located in the Arboretum is a little out of my usual “coverage area,” but bears mentioning here as a local chef’s hand-crafted modern take on Southern food.  They’re serving up a Thanksgiving Day buffet from 11am to 5pm featuring all the classics. The buffet will include deep fried turkey, standing rib roast, all the trimmings and dessert!

  • Bean Vegan Cuisine – Another spot that’s a little out of my usual realm, but this local small business also bears a mention here.  Located on Independence Blvd, just outside Plaza Midwood, they’ll be serving a vegan Thanksgiving from 1pm to 6pm.
