Hit the Town with Mom – Spending Mother’s Day in Charlotte

mother's day in charlotte realtor cassie cunninghamThis Sunday is the time to celebrate Mom. And there are a ton of things to do if you’ll be spending Mother’s Day in Charlotte!

If you love brunching with your mom, the Queen City’s got you covered. Between 300 East in Dilworth, Bistro La Bon in Plaza Midwood and Nan & Byron’s in SouthEnd, your food options are endless. When you start also considering places like Cafe Monte in SouthPark, Zada Jane’s in Plaza Midwood, and The Flying Biscuit (locations in Park Road Shopping Center and Stonecrest), you and your mom could brunch for weeks on end!

Nature calling your name? Pack a picnic and hit up one of Charlotte’s amazing parks. You can check them out by name or by region on the CharMeck Parks page. Or you can head to Crowder’s Mountain for a hike. And Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is always magical at this time of year.

Culture calling your name? Both locations of the Mint Museum are favorites of mine. At the uptown location, I always enjoy including a stop at Halcyon Restaurant; I find the Randolph Road location to be an amazing place to take a walk. There’s also jazz at the Bechtler on Friday night, and Levine Museum of the New South is fascinating.

No matter how you spend your Mother’s Day, I hope it’s a fantastic day for you!
